28 May - 10 June 2013In the past week and a half we've been working on an analysis aimed at revealing the dynamics engaged by and associated with the discordance described by a series of Uranus-Pluto squares occurring in the period from 24 June 2012 through 17 March 2015. This analysis has involved review of the Arabic Parts (APs) and study of fixed-star connections with the natal astrological chart. With respect to fixed stars and the natus, we have largely limited our consideration to conjunctions and oppositions with planets, asteroids, and angles. We've also considered the dominant and dominating planet, the Almuten Figuris, Hyleg, Alcoccoden, the Doriphoros (planet rising just before the Sun), and Auriga (planet setting just before the Sun). The first chart at left presents the seven instances of the Uranus-Pluto square, showing dates and degrees. The extended aspect pattern, a kite formation, includes the midpoint at 26°14 and the kite focus at 26°14 . Indicated in gray, this kite is comprised of semi- and sesqui-squares off the ♅ - ♇ square; each of its four stations connects with pronounced effect to other principals and positions in the natus, engaging a very challenging set of dynamics. Nephthys, Vega and Alphecca Meridiana are found the region transited by ♇ during this period. While Vega and Alphecca are important here, the Nephthys presentment is especially numinous. Sister of Isis, with whom I am most familiar in the recovery, reanimation and transformation of Osiris, Nephthys has always been rather hidden from me. Now I appreciate her as the night-side, a protectress of the dying and dead, the goddess of the breakdown, as Isis is to the buildup in identity. In the areas of the chart shaded green, note the presence of transiting Isis, Nephthys, and Aditi (goddess of the void, of creation), in addition to Amun and Ptah. Also found is the AP of Father, conjunct Algenib (Gamma Pegasi), both of which conjunct the North Node, MC, the APs of Destiny, Magistery, and Vocation, ♀ and ⚶. The first two bring to light an important insight with respect to narcissistic deficit and patterns of problematic compensation. The finding of Moon as Almuten Figuris is consistent with Hermit/Moon as the tarot constellation. Mars as dominant planet coincides with the centrality of creative drive, and the need for harmony as ethos makes sense (♀ is the planet closest to the MC). The second chart provides immediately intelligible information with respect to needful directions, indicated by the two YOD kites focused on (1) the AP of Art [Cursa, Amun, Rigel] and (2) Nepthys, Vega, Alphecca in the VIth, an arm of the grand trine kite formation ordinated at the AP of Identity conjunct Zubeneshamali, Zubenelgenubi, Pallas and Khambalia in the IVth, focused in the Xth House Taurus complement.
